Sleaford Town were back at home on Saturday, with the PSZ Direct Stadium hosting a 1-1 draw between the Greens and FCV Grace Dieu.
A first half penalty by Kyle Onyon gave the hosts the advantage, only to be pegged back in the second half by Ernest Osaretin.
Four changes were made by Jamie McGhee to the side that lost 3-2 to Coalville on Tuesday night, with Ryan Kamm, Archie Olivier Townrow, Jake Thompson and Kyle Onyon all entering the starting 11.
The visitors were the first to create a chance in a first half where both sides struggled to create anything clear-cut. Kamm was called into action with a one-on-one, getting his foot across superbly to stop an early lead. A few minutes later, Nathan Linden got up to meet a cross, heading it just wide of goal.
After this wave of pressure from #TheAcademy, the hosts decided it was their turn to create chances. Winger Dion Tansey-Potter provided some good footwork to beat his man, before shooting from a very tight angle. Whilst he beat goalkeeper Lorcan Morrissey, his effort smacked the post before eventually being cleared of danger.
Whilst this was Sleaford's first real chance at goal, they didn't need to wait long to find the opener. Just after the half hour mark, a throw-in was directed towards Lewis Smith, who turned his man and got into the box, before being tripped and giving the referee no choice but to point to the spot.
Onyon was the man elected to step up, and he slotted it into the net, sending Morrissey the wrong way and giving Sleaford the advantage.
Whilst there weren't many chances for the end of the first half or the start of the second, Sleaford showed professionalism in their game, with a side of gamesmanship to slow play down, showing their comfort in the performance.
Sleaford managed to turn a good performance into something as they created two chances either side of the hour mark. The first, a speculative effort from long distance by Onyon, but Morrissey calmly collected this chance. The next was a volley from Thompson just outside the box, but he blasted it over the bar, leaving Sleaford frustrated they couldn't double their advantage.
They were made to pay for their lack of clinical finishing eventually as Grace Dieu equalised with just over 20 minutes to play. A shot beat Kamm but struck the post, with the ball failed to be cleared by the Sleaford defence. The rebound was met by Osaretin, who drilled it into an almost empty net to find the leveller.
Sleaford almost replied instantly, when Tansey-Potter was free in the box, meeting a good ball in by Joe Nicholson. The winger didn't hit it cleanly though, smacking it over the bar for a goal kick.
Despite the last few minutes keeping fans on their toes, it ended all square, with Sleaford earning a valuable point, whilst the visitors can continue their play-off push with two games to go.
Sleaford's players can enjoy their day of rest on Easter Sunday, whilst the management team will be preparing for a quick turnaround, as they face fellow PSZ Direct tenants Pinchbeck United on Easter Monday, in a local UCL Division One derby.
